Hawaiian Bodywork

                             Hawaiian Bodyworks Massage

Working with the Huna principle of Family to explain the basis for relationships

and the phenomenon of cause and effect, the Kahuna's were able to gain mastery over the diverse and sometimes awesome forces of nature.

Most practitioners of Hawaiian Bodyworks Massage, are aware of these aspects within one's Self and also honor these in the body to be massaged. By consciously working with these forces, the practitioner creates a space in which both giver and receiver become one Mind Body Spirit. Into this space, healing takes place to meet with the individual needs of the client. One of the distinguishing skills of Lomi Lomi Massage is the radiant quality of touch that communicates love, stillness, centeredness, and understanding.

Hawaiian Bodyworks Massage is a unique, flowing, energetically vibrant, and yet deeply relaxing all-body massage. The practitioner uses hands and forearms in long fluid strokes of varying intensity and rhythm up and down and all around the body. It is the ability of Hawaiian Massage to go right to the core of cause and effect that places this healing art in a class of its own and unlike any holistic therapy.

The objective of this form of Massage is to work in alignment with the intention of the others body to heal itself. The practitioner reads the body's subtle vibrations and frequencies. The practitioner will work with the body of the client being careful not to force the body but, work with it until it is ready to create the change for its self. Our body's natural intention is to maintain and heal it's self in perfect balance. When the practitioner aligns with this principle they allow the others body to dictate course, flow and direction the massage will take. The Massage unfolds in a spontaneous, co-creative manner rather than a premeditated, prescriptive method.  Universal in its

approach, it deals effectively with a wide range of

situations and conditions, from specific to the

general, and on the physical, emotional, mental and

spiritual levels of experience. Where other forms of

massage have separated  and isolated techniques

for the benefit of the practitioners easy or prestige,

Hawaiian Bodywork incorporates all styles such as

                                                                                                           Reflexology, Trigger Point, Myofascial,

                                                                                                            Deep Tissue, Rolfing, Neuromuscular and

others. These are blended into a symphony of

movement together to create the magic of

lomi lomi. Although technology allows us more

access to knowledge of this practice, one

can't achieve the heart and level of power behind

the healing  without true training from the Kahuna,

                                                                                                            the Keepers of the Secret.
